Big Enhancements to Flow’s Mobile View

Jessie JonesLast Updated: February 21, 2012

We’re excited to announce two major enhancements to Flow’s Mobile View that will make your mobile experience a whole lot better whether you’re on an iPad, Android, or some other device.

Introducing: Mobile QuickTask

You can now create tasks directly in Flow’s Mobile View thanks to the new Mobile QuickTask bar. Simply navigate to a list, enter a task and it’s automatically added to the bottom of your current list.

New Mobile Activity Feed

Everyone using Flow as part of a team will be happy to learn that Mobile View now features a fully integrated Activity Feed. Now you can view your entire team’s activity from anywhere, anytime, on any mobile device.

Updates to the Mobile Task Bar

To make accessing the Activity Feed quick and easy, we’ve added an icon to the Mobile View taskbar. Click it to catch up on your collaborator’s activity any time, then just hit the Flow icon to return to the home screen.

PS: The logout button that was previously in that top-right spot has been relocated to the “More” section of the home screen’s menu:

You can comment on any tasks in Mobile View as well: just swipe down to the end of the comment thread and you’ll find the comment input area.

Add Flow Mobile to Your iPad Dock

If you’re an iPad user, you can even add a homescreen shortcut for quick access to Flow’s Mobile View. Dragging it to the iPad dock makes it easy to find it quickly:

Notes on Flow’s Mobile Roadmap

We’re always looking for ways to improve Flow for mobile users, and we’ll be continuing to work on the performance of our Mobile View. But we have other exciting things in development as well, including a completely new iPhone app, our first native iPad app, and more…

What about Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry?

Developing native apps for these platforms ultimately comes down to evaluating what’s most needed by the majority of our users, and how our resources are best spent (which we do constantly). Currently, our plans are to keep our development focus on Mobile View to make Flow as useful as possible for widest range of platforms.

Let Us Know What You Think

We’re always keen to get your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions regarding mobile features and platforms. Feel free to send your comments to Flow’s support team any time.

Thanks, everyone. And enjoy the new Mobile View.
