Create a New Flow Account

Getting started with a new tool can be confusing, but we’ve tried to make it as simple as possible to create your Flow account and start organizing your tasks. You can signup in seconds, and immediately get to work. So let’s get started.

Creating Your Account

To create your new Flow account, head over to GetFlow.com. You can signup directly from the form right on the front page. Just enter your name, email address, and a password that’s at least 6 characters long, then click Get Started to start your free 14 day trial of Flow.

Seconds later, you’ll see your Flow dashboard, complete with a welcome message. You can go ahead and personalize your account with your picture, which you’ll then see in the top left Preferences button as well as on comments you add on tasks. Alternately, you could just click Next and proceed without adding your picture if you want. You’ll still need to activate Flow, but you can quickly do that later whenever you’d like.

Flow will then let you go ahead and add contacts to Flow so you can start collaborating with them on projects. You can enter your colleagues’ names and email addresses and invite them directly, or you can search your social networks or the Flow directory for people you know who are already using Flow.

Helpful Hints

When you start using Flow, you’ll notice small popups with info about using Flow. You’ll only see them at first, and can turn them off in the settings if you’d like. These quick tips are a great way to quickly learn about Flow’s features as adding and organizing your tasks.

We’ve included several example lists in your new Flow account to help you learn more about Flow as you try it out. You can see these from the bottom left of your dashboard. Feel free to try out rearranging the tasks, adding comments, and checking them off to try out Flow’s features without using your own important tasks.
