Recurring Tasks

To create a recurring task, first fill out the task form as usual, then click the repeat button on the right side of the due date field. The repeat menu contains shortcuts to set your task to repeat every day, week, month, or year from the due date.

And for more fine-grained control over the repeating schedule, click Custom:

This allows you to set the task to repeat every X number of days, weeks, months, or years.

You can also select the days of the week you want the task to be due. And if you want the occurrence to stop after a certain number of times, on a specific date (or never), you can set that here too.

Once your task is created, hover over the due date to see when the task is set to repeat. The recurring date is the due date for that task and the next occurrence is created as soon as the last one is completed or overdue.

To stop a recurring task, you need to delete it. Click the trash bin to the right of your task name; a warning box asking, “Are you sure?” will appear. Click the box below this message to confirm you want to “Stop all future occurrences” of the task (and not just this one instance of it) and then click delete.
