Creating New Tasks

One of the things you’ll do most in Flow is adding new tasks. There’s two easy ways to do this in the web app. Just click the New Task button in the top left, or just by simply pressing Return or Enter on your keyboard. This opens a small popover, where you can quickly enter your tasks.

Entering your tasks only has to take a couple seconds. Just type in the thing you need to do, and then press Return or click Save to add it to your task list. You can press Enter again, and immediately start entering another task. Within minutes, you can enter everything you need to get done.

Often, though, you’ll want to include more info in tasks. You’ll want to add them to a list, assign them to someone else, add tags to organize them, schedule them, or add a note so you’ll remember everything that’s important about the task. The good thing is, that’s easy too. Just press Tab on your keyboard to jump to the next section. Adding tasks to lists or assigning them to others couldn’t be easier: just start typing, and you’ll see the lists or contacts with that word so you can quickly select them.

If you don’t get your tags, notes, deadlines, and more added, don’t worry. You can always quickly add them later. The important thing is getting your tasks stored, so you never forget anything you need to do. And when you need to enter them even quicker, just use the Quick Add Bar right in your inbox or lists to add tasks inline.
